Tade Lario third in 208 Rally Cup opening round

Tade Lario and co-driver Sami Ryynänen started their season in France successfully with a podium finish in Rally Terre des Causses last weekend. It is their best result yet in France.

Peugeot 208 Rally Cups first rally took place in Southern France in wet conditions. CHL Sport Auto -teams Lario started the rally strong and took third position after day one, with just 21 seconds behind leader. On second day the good pace continued and position lasted to the finish.

- Great rally from us! We drove fast times evenly and controlled the situation. It wasn't long way to front on second day but the conditions were difficult due to rain. We decided to keep safe mode and collect good points for the cup, describes Lario.

Lario and Ryynänen were the first Finnish crew to score a podium in 208 Rally Cup and now they hold third place in the series. It is a solid start to the season but there are still six long rallies to go.

- We try to continue like this and even better on gravel events. We are stong on the rallies that I know from last year but next is a new rally for me on tarmac. There we have to drive wise, comments Lario.

Next rally of the cup is driven on 20th to 22nd April on asphalt, the Rallye Lyon-Charbonnieres.

Results 208 Rally Cup Round 1/7:
